You recover with that same backup + your password, fully offline, on your own device or with the Self-Contained Recovery Kit. No servers, no accounts, no company required — ever.

Encryption and decryption happen locally on your machine with Argon2id + AES-256-GCM. Your data never leaves your control, even if MyColdKey disappears tomorrow.
